Major improvements are planned to tackle a traffic bottleneck on the Northern Road Bridge in Portsmouth, on the English south coast, after the government pledged €13.73 million [£11 million] for the project. The Department for Transport has given final approval to the scheme which will see work on a replacement bridge over the Portsmouth to London railway line at Cosham. Bobcat is offering three new steel tracked versions of its heavyweight loaders, the T250, T300 and T320. The factory-fit steel track options for the loaders offer an alternative to the conventional rubber tracked configurations for applications such as demolition. The tracks allow the machines to work on rocky and abrasive soils, as well as breaking and clearing concrete/asphalt surfaces, providing better traction and increased ground adherence.
