2924 Sennebogen’s three machines on display at Intermat 2012 have been chosen by the company to represent its crane, lifting and industrial material handling technology.

The Sennebogen 650 HD with 2,300 l dragline bucket, with 50tonnes operating weight, will represent the duty cycle crawler crane range. This range includes ten models with operating weights ranging from 20-180tonnes and motorisations from 119 to 708kW.

Germany-based Sennebogen said its duty cycle crawler cranes have, for decades, demonstrated the highest level of reliability, robust construction and controllable technology. The machines can be deployed universally for challenging tasks in the fields of special civil engineering, mining, demolition or material handling.

Sennebogen’s telescopic cranes also cover a broad range of uses, designed to be powerful and flexible all-round machines for use in the field of construction. The Sennebogen 643 crawler crane being showcased at Intermat 2012 has a 40tonnes load and 30metre boom length. Lifting, moving and positioning large loads with a compact crane design are said by the firm to be key characteristics of this model, along with fast set-up times and easy transport. The Sennebogen telescopic crane range includes crawler and mobile solutions with loads of 16-80tonnes and boom lengths of 18.8-58metres.

Finally, the Sennebogen 825 is representing at Intermat 2012 the company’s industrial material handling Green Line machines. It is said by Sennebogen to be part of the market leading and largest product range of its kind in the world. The company says the modular construction of the machines enables them to be tailored to individual requirements.

All the Sennebogen machines with operating weights of 18-300tonnes are also optionally available with electro-hydraulic drive solutions, which can reduce running costs by up to 50% in addition to the many other advantages. These machines are said by Sennebogen to underline the traditional, family-run company's role as a customer-oriented innovation leader.

Liebherr has developed a hybrid drive system for its HS8300HD heavy duty cycle crawler crane. The 350 tonne machine generates electrical power from its hydraulic free-fall winches, which offer up to 50 tonnes of line pull. Under this Pactronic system surplus energy is stored in a hydraulic accumulator and regenerated to assist the engine, reducing fuel consumption. This reuse of energy also cuts emissions from the machine.
