4870 Selwood will be showing its very latest pumps at INTERMAT including the S100, S150 and S200 Super Silent models. These units have recently been improved by the introduction of a close coupled configuration, part of on-going development programme for the entire Selwood pump range.

The ‘S’ range automatic self-priming pumps are said by Selwood to be the ideal solution for pumping solids, sludge and rags. The company says that its pump range is comprised of robust high performance models offering easy operation, unparalleled reliability and inherent safety.

Tony Killick, Selwood’s general manager, said: “We are hoping the exhibition will expose our product to potential customers and distributors from Europe and around the world.”

Greater fuel efficiency, improved digging performance and revised styling are among the changes to be found on Volvo’s latest D-series wheeled excavators. The four-model EW range spans 14-21tonnes and benefits from a new engine, cab, hydraulics, substructure, boom, arm and controls. There is more power with D-series, from stage IIIB engines that use V-ACT technology. The four cylinder (EW140D) and six cylinder engines produce high torque at low engine speeds, said Volvo, giving rise to low fuel consumption.
