The latest highway industry products, systems and technologies will be on show at 6678 Seeing is Believing (SIB) next month.

Speaking about the event in Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire between November 20-22 Steve Spender, IHE immediate past president & highways manager at Hampshire County Highways, said: “Seeing is Believing provides local authority highway engineers with a great opportunity to keep abreast of ever changing and improving materials and equipment. It provides an opportunity to see these being practically operated in a real life environment.

“Hampshire County Council has allowed staff to attend previous Seeing is Believing events and will support this year’s event in a similar way. I would recommend all authorities consider encouraging attendance during the three day event.”

As well as showcasing cutting edge highway industry systems, products and technologies, the SIB will include live demonstrations under different lighting conditions – daylight, dusk and night. Running alongside the exhibition and demonstrations there will also be a comprehensive programme of workshops where industry topics and case studies will be presented and discussed.

“The highways maintenance and construction industries are under ever increasing pressure to provide long term, reliable solutions under the tightest financial pressures. Seeing is Believing is the only event where these can be openly discussed, demonstrated and displayed,” said event organiser Neil Levett.
