Section II of Indonesia’s Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Road project launched

Work has begun on Section II of Indonesia’s Cinere-Jagorawi Toll Road. The 5.5km route is costing US$210.25 million (IDR 2.4 trillion) and Section II will have a length of 5.5km. The project by Translingkar Kita Jaya is earmarked for completion in February 2016.

    Millions of US dollars are being poured into new and expanding toll road projects in Indonesia. Wijaya Karya (Wika), the Indonesian government-owned construction service provider, will build toll roads linking Kedung Badak to Kedung Halang and Pandaan to Gempol in Bogor through two contracts worth US$36.35million (IDR 340.80bn) and US$23.98million (IDR 225bn), respectively.   • Work underway on Indonesia’s Trans Papua highway

    Indonesia’s Ministry of Public Works and Housing plans to allocate US$415.3 million in 2016 for the Trans Papua road project. The Indonesian Government’s plan is for the link to be ready for use and connecting the whole of Papua by 2019. However in excess of $830 million is required to fund work on the entire 4,325km route.   • Indonesia toll road construction project underway

    Building work for the toll road connecting Cileunyi with Sumedang and Dawuan in Indonesia will now be complete ahead of schedule. The route will open to traffic in 2020, instead of 2021 as originally planned. The work is being carried out in six separate sections. The contractor Citra Karya Jabar Tol is currently building sections 4, 5 and 6, having completed section 3, with the work costing close to US$555 million. Work is also well underway on sections 1 and 2 for the project.
