Sao Paulo's new road plans

Plans are in hand in Brazilian city Sao Paulo for a package of key road projects intended to improve connectivity. These will include two stretches of new road for the Nova Odessa/Americana/Santa Barbara and Campinas/Nova Odessa link. State funding will also be available for the widening of the Estrada dos Amarais road, in addition to the repaving of the Lix da Cunha road. Plans are in hand in Brazilian city Sao Paulo for a package of key road projects intended to improve connectivity. These will include two stretches of new road for the Nova Odessa/Americana/Santa Barbara and Campinas/Nova Odessa link. State funding will also be available for the widening of the Estrada dos Amarais road, in addition to the repaving of the Lix da Cunha road. Upgrading roads will also ease access to Viracopos airport, while the state authorities have asked Transport Regulator 5380 Artesp to evaluate plans for a new road between Americana and Sousas. In addition, widening work will be carried out on the Rodovia SP-95 in Sao Paulo.

    In Malaysia the government is setting aside a budget for a major package of road construction works in Sabah. The three new road upgrades will help ease traffic congestion at peak periods and the Works Ministry plans to open the tender process shortly. Some US$ 196.5 million will be spent on improving the 42km road that connects Jalan Dongongon and Simpang Papar.
