Sany Road Machinery is keen to boost exports to developing nations

Sany Road Machinery says it is looking to increase exports of its soil compactors, milling machines, asphalt pavers and asphalt compactors. The company has had sales success with exports in certain key territories, most particularly Latin America, Africa and South Asia. The company has had sales success with exports in certain key territories, most particularly Latin America, Africa and South Asia. Indonesia has been a particularly strong market for the company and Sany Road Machinery wants to capitalise on the strong demand for equipment in the country as Indonesia pushes ahead with its major programme of expansion for its tolled highway network. Some export markets are difficult right now, such as Europe, and Sany Road Machinery said that it will wait to see how this situation improves before committing itself.

Competition is also very strong in the road machinery sector in Europe and the company said that it will focus instead on developing markets where demand is also strong at present instead. Another key focus is in developing its distribution channels in central China, where it sees considerable potential. It is already well established with its distribution channels in South, West and Eastern China but is keen to replicate this model in the centre of the country.

The company has a recently upgraded its line of road construction machines, with the SSR360 soil compactor, STR30C double drum asphalt roller, SMP165C asphalt paver and SCM100 milling machine. The SSR360 soil compactor is of particular note as this 36.5tonne machine can deliver 681kN.
