The CI511 crusher spearheads Sandvik Construction’s new Prisec range
The new generation of compact horizontal impact crushers (HSI) from 2403 Sandvik Construction is said to provide a low capital cost solution, optimum performance and good cubical shape.

The all-new patented and highly modularised Sandvik CI5 Prisec crusher range combines the ability to configure one base crusher into either a primary or a secondary configuration, making it adaptable to ever-changing requirements.

The company says the crushers have been developed in response to customer demands, and they are spearheaded by the CI511 which has a throughput capacity of 200tonnes/hour.

“Sandvik’s revolutionary all new design of crushing chamber ensures even greater reduction ratios than have been previously obtainable. Furthermore the Prisec crusher is able to easily produce impressive reduction ratios through the use of two specially designed curtains, which have traditionally required a three-curtain configuration crusher. As well as enhanced productivity, this means fewer wear parts and reduced maintenance,” says Sandvik.

The CI511 Prisec, which has a maximum feed size of 600mm, is equipped with an infinite hydraulic curtain adjustment combined with a brake positioning system which relieves pressure, and setting, when un-crushable objects enter the crusher.

“The rotor and hammers can be considered as the heart of the crusher: this is why those used on the CI5 Prisec  range are both robust and efficient. Rotors have superior weight and design, essential for delivering the high inertia required for optimum crusher performance, thus ensuring stability and smooth operation during production,” says Sandvik.

“The banana-shaped self-sharpening hammer design helps to keep the contact heads sharper during operation, resulting in more effective shearing of the incoming material, and hence improved production.”

HAZEMAG says it has combined two successful impact crusher series into a single one and thus increase efficiency in the secondary crushing. The new HAZEMAG HSI 1414, with a completely revised design, follows the principle of the platform strategy, which means “one housing – several options.“ “The customer may opt between different impact aprons and rotor types. Hence HAZEMAG increases the crusher’s efficiency. Within the modularly designed platform the grinding path, for example, may simply and easily (even
