Sandvik DC125R joins the DC family of compact top hammer drill rigs
325 Sandvik DC125R is a new member to the proven Sandvik DC family of compact, rubber-tyred top hammer drill rigs.

The fully remote-controlled, hydraulic and self-propelled mini-sized drilling unit on a four-wheel drive carrier, is for drilling 22–45mm holes, and replaces the former Sandvik DC122R, one in the series of rigs originally launched in 1988 under the product name of Tamrock Commando.

“A range of job site tests show that the new model offers better manoeuvrability than ever before. This is thanks to the new large drive gears that make the rig nimble and mobile, guaranteeing safety of operation even in the most difficult ground conditions,” says Sandvik. “Rough terrain safety is further enhanced by a new winch with roller-type of rope guides. Thanks to its simplified body structure, easily interchangeable drive gears and a new type of simple-structured dust collector, the rig is easy to maintain.

“The mini-sized Sandvik DC125R mini rig is at its best in applications such as foundation drilling, road cutting, trenching, bolting, line drilling in dimensional stone quarries, and other special drilling applications.”

Case’s 12.2tonne 621F wheeled loader will make its first appearance at a European show during bauma. Powered by a second generation common-rail Tier 4 interim engine and benefiting from the use of fuel saving SCR technology, the 621F is said to have proven ZF auto powershift transmission and heavy duty axles. The model is also equipped with a 100% locking front differential for maximum traction and reduced tyre wear. Similar to other larger Case F Series wheeled loaders, the 621F has a cooling pack directly

    January 6, 2017
Sandvik Mining is now using Volvo Penta engines in its underground trucks and loaders. The advanced engines meet Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emission standards and are claimed to reduce fuel and ventilation costs in comparison with other units. The Volvo Penta engineers designed a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) unit in the exhaust system that converts NOx gas into nitrogen and water. The Volvo Penta exhaust-treatment solution also reduces DPM levels without the need for a diesel particulate filter (DPF).

  • JT60 joins Ditch Witch drill range
    January 6, 2017
Ditch Witch has introduced two directional drills, the JT60 and the JT60 All terrain. Both drills offer 267kN of thrust and pullback, along with up to 12,200Nm of rotational torque. Customers can choose between a 142kW Tier 3 engine or a 149kW Tier 4 Interim diesel, depending on territory. Both come with a 560l/min fluid pump that helps to ensure productive drilling, which is fully enclosed to reduce noise and to protect components. In answer to customer research, the JT60 drills come with a climate contro
