Russia’s key highway opening planned

Russia’s M-11 highway connecting its capital Moscow with the second city, St Petersburg, will be fully open to traffic in 2018. The new tolled highway will cut journey times by road between the two cities, providing an important transport link. The 669km highway is one of the most important road projects carried out in Russia in recent years and the link will be operated by the country’s state-owned firm, Avtodor.
