Rotterdamsebaan infrastructure plans receive US$387.47mn

Dutch Infrastructure and Environment Minister Melanie Schultz van Haegen has promised to invest US$387.47 million (€295mn) in the new Rotterdamsebaan road between the Ypenburg junction and The Hague. The investment in the project, which has a total value of some $737.04 million (€565mn), is $91.31 million (€70mn) higher than Schultz van Haegen's predecessor promised in 2008. All interested parties have ten working days to object the terms and conditions set for this tender. The project involves a road of 31.8km, including 11km of tunnels and more than 2km of bridges. Ten consortia have been pre-qualified for this project already.
