Romanian road project

Romania's new Basarab-Constanta highway stretch and the Constanta ring road will be partially open for traffic in July 2011.

Romania's new Basarab-Constanta highway stretch and the Constanta ring road will be partially open for traffic in July 2011. One lane of the highway stretch will be opened and this forms part of the Medgidia-Constanta link. The highway project is being carried out by 1324 Astaldi and Max Boegl and is expected to cost €211 million. Funding is being provided by the 1054 European Investment Bank (EIB) and Romania's state budget.
