Romanian road deal

In Romania the road authorities have signed a deal for the construction of a 22km stretch of highway in a contract worth €91 million.

In Romania the road authorities have signed a deal for the construction of a 22km stretch of highway in a contract worth 91 million. The Portuguese contractor MonteAdriano wil construct the highway section, which will link Nadlac with Pecica. This deal is the latest in a series of contracts now starting in Romania. The country has pledged to improve and expand its highway network with the construction of new links. Much of the funding for Romania's highway plans has been provided by the 1166 European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the 1054 European Investment Bank.
