Road repairs will revamp the ring road around St Petersburg

Repair work is now planned on the first section of the St Petersburg ring road. The work will be carried out from Gorskaya to Primorskoe in 2013. Design work is underway at present. The 24km road will be widened to six lanes and the road structure will be revamped. The repair will end in 2015 and will cost some US$373 million. Work on the interchange in Bronka will commence in 2013 as well.

The city authorities are planning work on the road connecting the Inter-city bus terminal with the Lideta Church as well as on the road between St George Church and 18 Mazoria. The Road Fund and city authorities will require a budget of some US$397 million to build up to 113km of roads with asphalt surfaces in the 2013/2014 period.
