Road loan deal in Brazil

The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) is providing loans worth US$175 million to Brazil’s Espirito Santo Statew. These loans will help finance the planned series of road improvements in the state.

The 2791 Inter-American Development Bank (IADB) is providing loans worth US$175 million to Brazil’s Espirito Santo Statew. These loans will help finance the planned series of road improvements in the state. Called the Espirito Santo Roads Programme III, the works will upgrade some 120km of roads in the state, with the aim of boosting the economy. In all the works will cost $250 million and the programme is being co-ordinated by the Department of Roads and Transportation for Espirito Santo (DER-ES).

    A series of road projects is now being funded in Paraguay due to financing being provided by the Inter-American Development Bank (IADB). Paraguay’s Ministry of Public Works and Communications is scheduling new road projects in the eastern part of the country during the first half of 2015. The US$105 million IADB loan will pay for 400kms of new roads and 2km of new bridges, with much of the work being carried out in rural areas.
