The theme of the event is The Road Factor in Economic Transformation, the focus of which will be on the development and maintenance of an efficient road infrastructure to meet the demands for sustainable economic growth in developing countries.

The theme of the event is The Road Factor in Economic Transformation, the focus of which will be on the development and maintenance of an efficient road infrastructure to meet the demands for sustainable economic growth in developing countries. The organisers report that an overwhelming 150 abstracts encompassing a multitude of topics from potential presenters worldwide have been received and are being currently evaluated for selection. Three plenary, five technical sessions and six workshops are on the cards including an exhibition on the latest products and professional services related to the road industry.
A concurrent added value event of significant benefit to delegates held simultaneously with this conference will be the 12th International Construction Week (ICW) - an annual programme of the Ministry of Works, Malaysia and organised by the6433 Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).
