Rivard’s RIV1403 TC1755 chainsaw trencher, launched in July 2011, is now being aimed at wider pipe and cable installation markets
2424 Rivard RIV1403 TC1755 is a chainsaw trencher suitable for creating large trenches for major underground power, gas, fibre optic, water, irrigation or sewer project works. 
 
With a 387hp engine and weighing in at 32tonnes, the high output capacity machine can be fitted with different chains and can create a maximum trench width of 600mm and depth of 1,700mm. Debris created by the TC1755 is removed by a conveyor system.

According to Rivard, the TC1755 has been mostly used in communication and energy supply projects since its launch in July 2011. The firm is keen to showcase its potential benefits to wider customers.
