Record bauma China 2018 exhibition

The 5930 bauma China 2018 exhibition held in Shanghai set records both for exhibitor numbers and visitor numbers. In all 3,350 exhibitors showed new products at the event, a gain of 13% from the previous show in 2016. And 212,500 visitors attended the show, up 25% from 2016. Of the attendees, 94% came from Asia and in addition to Chinese visitors there were strong showings from India and Vietnam for example.

The event was run under the them, Smart technologies for an exceptional market, and covered an area of 330,000m2, using the entire available exhibition space at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). The 9th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicles was held from November 27th to 30th 2018. According to the show organisers, the event highlighted the future of the Asian construction, quarrying and mining industries: smart, digital and more sustainable.
