Qatar's key projects

In Qatar the Government intends to invest a healthy US$12.36 billion on upgrading and expanding the country's road network. This budget will be for the 2011-2015 period.

In Qatar the Government intends to invest a healthy US$12.36 billion on upgrading and expanding the country’s road network. This budget will be for the 2011-2015 period. The country has some 7,790km of roads in all at present and has a traffic density of 78 vehicles/km of road. One of the first major projects in the programme of works that comprise the Transport Master Plan will be for the new road between Doha and Al Wakrah. Another key project is for the Doha Expressway that will connect New Doha International Airport with south and western parts of Doha.
