An enormous array of new construction projects is being planned for Qatar in the 10 year run-up to the 2022 1556 World Cup, as well as its bid for the Summer Olympics in 2020. A new event, Qatar Projects 2013, will focus on new wave of infrastructure projects being planned. With project tenders and awards expected to reach $ 30 billion a year from 2013 to 2014, Qatar is a key country for the construction sector to focus on. The wave of new projects to be awarded will be comprehensively discussed at the Qatar Projects 2013 conference organised by 6041 Meed Events and being held from February 17th- 20th 2013 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Doha, Qatar. Highlights of the premiere gathering of projects industry stakeholders from across the region include announcements of new tenders, bidding and awards, as well as a comprehensive discussion of the solutions to the massive challenges currently faced by project owners, developers and contractors in Doha.

Transportation projects will figure highly in the discussions. The country needs a new network of highways and roads to connect the planned venues. Supported by Qatar’s Ministry of Business and Trade, Qatar Projects 2013 will also provide valuable insights on other key factors driving economic growth in the country. In addition to discussing the development and delivery of Qatar’s infrastructure projects in the lead up to World Cup 2022, other important discussions include assessing the investments required and the overall outlook for project financing in the next two to five years.

The event is supported by The Ministry of Business & Trade, Qatar, 7013 International Bank of Qatar (IBQ) as Platinum sponsor and 7014 Mashreq as Silver Sponsor and 7015 Patton Boggs as Lunch Sponsor.
