The powerful and productive PTC piling rig provides high performance
High versatility is claimed for the new 7145 PTC 20RHV Vibrodriver piling unit, which can drive and extract profiled sections of sheet piling, H, concrete or wooden piles. This highly productive machine offers an integrated solution including the rig with its guiding pole, as well as the novel Vibrodriver, hydraulic hammer and press. The equipment is said to cut driving time is cut sharply as the rigs are fitted with powerful winches. In addition, the rigs require a comparatively small space on-site and are highly mobile. Precise positioning and alignment is possible of the profiled sections and in general, there is no need to use a guide for sheet piling or other piles. The 20RHFV has been specially designed for use with piling rigs that have a pole and is equipped with variable moment technology (PTC patent). This allows adjustments to be made at any time on the worksite and also provides precise control of vibration. Its variable moment technology allows work to be carried out in urban areas, without affecting surrounding structures.

The 20RHFV is a vertical Vibrodriver and features a narrow centre width of just 450mm and its compact design allows it to be fitted through two sheet piles when driving a sheet pile curtain. This allows users to drive or pull up piles more quickly, without having to stop as often because of adjacent sheet piles.

The range of four PTC rig models includes the PR20 model, which is the most suitable piling rig in terms of power (470kW) for supplying the Vibrodriver 20RHFV.  This pair can be used to work with profiled sections up to 22m long. The PR20 rig pole is equipped with a powerful winch that can apply a force of 25tonnes on the Vibrodriver, helping to obtain faster driving.  For pulling-up work, the extraction force is 20tonnes. However the Vibrodriver PTC 20RHFV can be installed quickly on other PTC piling rigs and is versatile as it can also fitted on other makes of rig. And PTC also offers a variety of clamp types for using the Vibrodriver 20RHFV with all sorts of profiled sections.
