The new Via Parque Rimac road project in Peruvian city Lima is expected to cost some US$700 million. The city authorities plan to merge the Linea Amarilla express way project with the Rio Verde project, a development that comes after an agreement with Linea Amarilla (Lamsac), which is building the Linea Amarilla. The investment will increase from $570 million under the new plans. The changes mean that the connection between the San Juan de Lurigancho, the Grau Avenue and the Via de Evitamiento road will be included in the project at a cost of some $24 million. Meanwhile, the Colombian consortium Desarrollo Vial de Los Andes (2665 Deviandes) will invest $126 million on IIRSA Centro highway project in Peru. The highway runs for 377km and carries some 5,300 vehicles/day. The sum will be used to expand and improve the IIRSA Centro route and the investments will be carried out over the consortium's 24 year concession contract. The plans call for $22 million to be spent on upgrades to the highway over the next two years.
