Parsons wins design services contract for Chicago’s Webster Street Bridge

Parsons Brinckerhoff has won a contract from the Chicago Department of Transportation (DOT) in the US to provide final and preliminary design services for the rehabilitation of Chicago’s Webster Street Bridge. 2693 Parsons Brinckerhoff has won a contract from the 7008 Chicago Department of Transportation (DOT) in the US to provide final and preliminary design services for the rehabilitation of Chicago’s Webster Street Bridge.

The firm will also be in charge of coordination and community outreach with adjacent property owners, and coordination with the US Army Corps of Engineers, 7005 Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, 7006 Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and the 7007 US Coast Guard. Parsons Brinckerhoff will offer engineering services to do the work associated with the approval and preparation of all preliminary engineering documents. Once the preliminary engineering reaches completion, Parsons Brinckerhoff will do phase-two design engineering, prepare construction contract documents, including specifications and estimates, final plans and review of construction shop drawings.

Rehabilitation works will begin in 2015, with construction due to reach completion the following year.
