Panama plans new highway link

Panama's Government is giving its approval for changes to the contract for the second stage of the Madden-Colon highway.

Panama's Government is giving its approval for changes to the contract for the second stage of the Madden-Colon highway. Under the new terms the concession holder Concesionaria Madden-Colon, a subsidiary of Brazilian contractor 1305 Odebrecht, has until 2012 to complete the 15km project. The work is expected to cost US$218.5 million.
