714 IronPlanet, one of the world’s leading online auction companies for used construction and agricultural equipment, says it will sell over 260 items of construction, agricultural and materials handling equipment at its May 29th online auction.

The equipment for sale is located throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and includes excavators, loaders, dump trucks, aerial work platforms, compactors, telehandlers, forklifts, tractors and generators. Among individual auction items are a 2007 178 Caterpillar 972H Wheel Loader; a 2006 Caterpillar M315C Wheel Excavator; a 2010 Caterpillar 906H Wheel Loader; a 2003 233 Hitachi ZX500LCH Track Excavator; and a 2008 Merlo ROTO 45.21MCSS Telehandler.

During the online auction, all equipment will be sold to the highest bidder. However, prior to auction day, registered bidders can exclusively place bids through IronPlanet’s PriorityBid service, which automates bidding on the buyer’s behalf –  said to be an easy-to-use solution perfect for buyers who are unable to attend the auction or those who simply want to get their bid in early. With PriorityBid, bidders set the maximum amount they’re willing to bid, and IronPlanet’s auction system keeps them in the lead up to their maximum.

Felipe Fernández-Urrutia Massó, IronPlanet’s Europe major accounts director, said, “IronPlanet’s IronClad Assurance and guaranteed inspection reports enable buyers to bid with absolute confidence, which of course translates to better auction prices for sellers. May’s European auction will once again feature millions of Euros worth of equipment – conclusively demonstrating that sellers of used equipment and machinery continue to find IronPlanet a trusted, efficient and effective platform.”
