Oregon’s November road user charging summit

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is setting up a Road Usage Charge Summit. The 2648 Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) is setting up a Road Usage Charge Summit. This event will allow attendees to share information about the state Oregon’s recently passed road usage charge legislation. ODOT is inviting interested vendors, service providers and officials from other US states to the event on November 13th for a one day meeting focussing on road user charging. ODOT wants to share details as well as gather information that can help it establish first road usage charge programme for the US. The meeting will be held at the World Trade Centre, 121 SW Salmon St in Portland, Oregon. On November 14th and 15th there will be additional sessions in which the ODOT team will be available to meet with specific vendors. Topics for the 2013 Oregon Summit include operational objectives and policy implications of the road usage charge programme, presentation and review of the proposed system architecture, operational scenarios for the programme, the system procurement schedule and business processes currently envisaged.
