The 33rd edition of bauma - the world's leading trade fair for construction and mining machinery - kicks off this Monday, October 24, and runs until  October 30 in the southern German city of Munich.

The event is held at the Trade Fair Center Messe München where thousands of attendees are expected, visiting indoor displays and the outdoor demonstration areas. Being showcased will be the latest construction machinery, building material machines and mining machines as well as all types of construction vehicles and equipment.

bauma PreviewThe themes of electrification of machinery and alternative fuels, digitalisation of the construction site, sustainability of the construction process, operational cost control and equity will feature strongly in many of the exhibits.

The German federal minister for digital and transport, Volker Wissing, and Bavaria’s minister resident, Markus Söder, together with the chief executive of Messe München, Stefan Rummel, will officially open bauma in the morning of October 24.

Later in the afternoon, the deputy Bavarian minister president and Bavarian minister of economic affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, will start a tour of bauma in Hall A3.
