One-touch chassis levelling and stabilisation for ROTO models

Italian manufacturer Merlo has developed an automatic chassis levelling and stabilisation system for its ROTO range of rotating telescopic handlers. Rather than using individual controls for each stabiliser leg, the operator pushes a button to both level the chassis and stabilise the machine for heavy lifting. Chassis levelling at the touch of a button
Italian manufacturer 2922 Merlo has developed an automatic chassis levelling and stabilisation system for its ROTO range of rotating telescopic handlers. Rather than using individual controls for each stabiliser leg, the operator pushes a button to both level the chassis and stabilise the machine for heavy lifting. The telescoping jib, which can extend up to 7.62metres, provides flexibility and what is said to be “exceptional” horizontal and vertical reach. As with all JLG Ultra Booms, the 1500SJ delivers dual 450kg/230kg capacity and three steering modes. Among its features is an LCD display communications machine to assist operators in positioning the plat

  • Engcon improves tilt-rotator design
    January 6, 2017
Engcon has introduced a new range of tilt-rotators, using a cast housing to greatly increase capacity. The EC218 and EC226 replace the EC15 and EC20 respectively. The former is suitable for machines up to 18tonnes in operating weight, while the latter is designed for excavators up to 26 tonnes. The cast housing incorporates internal lubrication channels for centralised greasing, reducing the risk of dust ingress or damage while operating. Larger bushes are used to reduce the chance of play in the housing
