A rider amongst a group of cyclists on a training run in Australia had a rather unpleasant experience. The man was cycling along a road with his team mates when a young kangaroo jumped out from the road side and collided with him, knocking him from his bicycle. Although he was riding at speed at the time, he was not seriously hurt and as one of his team mates filmed the incident, will have video footage to better remember the incident by. The feelings of the kangaroo over the incident were not recorded.

A motorcyclist in the UK city of Newcastle came close to having his bike stolen by persistent and rather stupid thieves. The biker had just entered a main road from a roundabout when he spotted a bicycle lying in the middle of the roadway. Realising it posed a hazard to traffic on the busy road, he pulled to a halt and went back to remove the abandoned bicycle. JCB chairman Lord Bamford will officially take his seat in the House of Lords on November 7th, the company has announced.
Sir Anthony Bamford was made a Life Peer in August 2013 and will now be known as Lord Bamford after taking the formal title of Baron Bamford of Daylesford in the County of Gloucestershire and of Wootton in the County of Staffordshire.
