Bidding is now underway for a road project in Northern Ireland. Several joint venture groups are tendering for the €699 million A5 Western Transport Corridor project, which is being split into three sections.
The EBRD is investing in the largest infrastructure project in Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) to date by lending €180 million to the state to construct key sections of the Trans-European Corridor Vc. A key transport artery linking BiH with the rest of Europe, Corridor Vc starts in Budapest, Hungary and ends in the Adriatic Port of Ploce in Croatia. Bidding is underway in the Australian state of Victoria for the Western Distributor road project in Melbourne. The project is expected to cost US$4.06 billion. Interest has been strong in the project with a series of major contractors forming consortiums to submit joint bids. The contracts for the project should be agreed towards the end of 2017, while construction is planned for completion in 2022.
