A Chinese contractor is to build a major expressway link in Nigeria. The contract is for a 15km section of highway. The work will be handled by 890 China Railway Construction.
The project financed by Africa Plus Partners, is under Nigeria’s Highway Development and Management Initiative, a PPP infrastructure development programme of the federal ministry of works.
Further financing will be required to complete construction work for Nigeria’s vital East-West highway project. Work is being carried out on sections of the highway between Warri and Port Harcourt and from Eket to Ikot Akan and Atan Ikpe. The former stretch is being handled by Setraco Nigeria, while the latter is being handled by Reynolds Construction Company.
