GDDKiA are reported to have sought a fresh tender due to perceived delays in work on the Debica-Tarnow section. SIAC is said to be prepared to complete the investment, provided GDDKiA pays it €165.33 million (PLN 675mn).

Earmarked to stretch 670km from the Polish-German border in Zgorzelec, through Wrocław, Katowice, Kraków, Tarnów, and Rzeszów, to the Polish-Ukrainian border at Korczowa, the A4 is due for completion in 2013.
