JCB 535-140 Telehandler, live at INTERMAT 2012
A new development from 255 JCB is an access platform attachment for use with the firm’s 535-140 and 535-128 model telehandlers. This has been developed to meet growing market demand for access platform attachments that can be used on telehandlers in a range of construction duties.

Designed for use in finishing work or tunnel construction for example, the platform is offered in three versions with the basic fixed unit, an extending model and one that both slews and extends. The basic fixed unit measures 1.5x2.5m, while the extending model is 1.2m wide and offers extension from 2.5-5m. The top-of-the-line version offers a 400kg capacity, 180° of slew as well as being 1.2m wide and extending from 2.5-5m. Fitted to the 535-140 telehandler the platforms provide working heights of up to 15.6m. Safety features are fitted such as a single key interlock, an interlock on the boom, hose burst protection and rear axle stabilisation for the telehandler. Control is through a wireless remote system while an electric motor ensures that the boom will be retracted and lowered in the event of the machine losing power or a failure of the radio contact to the cab. There are also three hard-wired emergency stop switches as well as a pressure switch that will turn off the operating functions in the event of the platform being overloaded.
