RP-2505 heavy duty paver features the European developed high density screeds
1252 Roadtec has introduced the new heavy-duty steel track RP-2505 paver at bauma 2013.

The model on display features high-density screeds with a twin tamper bar screed, which was developed and manufactured in Germany.

The RP-2505 is a versatile machine capable of achieving high densities in stiffer mixes such as cold mix, base materials, and roller-compacted concrete, as well as conventional hot mix asphalt.

The screeds are electrically heated and vibratory and the twin tamper bars allow the screed to compact the material to extremely high densities. The screeds have a basic width of 2.55m and hydraulically extend to 5.06m. The screeds crown can be hydraulically adjusted from -2% to plus 4%.

The twin tamper bar screed includes dual screed controls and thermostatically-controlled screed temperatures for smooth operation.

A full width heavy-duty walkway is included on the rear of the screed, enabling easy operator access to either side. Similar to screeds on other Roadtec pavers, mounting locations for automatic grade controls are found on the two arms.

Wacker Neuson has added two compact telescopic handlers to its range – the TH412 and the TH625. The machines offer maximum heights of 4.31m and 5.73m respectively, with lift capacities of 1.2tonnes and 2.5tonnes. Despite their compact dimensions they retain large telescopic-handler design features, such as all-wheel steering and generously-sized cabs, standard on the TH625 and optional on the smaller model. The two loaders are equipped with Wacker’s VLS vertical lift system, which avoids overloading throug

JCB is expanding its telehandler line-up with the addition of the compact 525-60 at Conexpo. According to the firm, the 525-60 offers full-size telehandler performance in a compact chassis. Maximum lift height is 6m and its load capacity is 2.5 tonnes, while the 525-60 is just 1.8m wide and 1.91m tall. This allows it to be operated in sites with limited space. The 525-60 Hi-Viz replaces the rear-engined 524-50, 527-55 and the 520-50 models, and features a side-mounted engine design. This permits a low boom
