New road links to join Nepal and India

In the Indian state of Bihar, investment is underway to improve the infrastructure links with neighbouring Nepal. Some US$109 million is being invested in the plan. The new road links will boost transport connections between Nepal and India and provide an economic boost in terms of trade between the two nations.

  • India helping fund Nepal infrastructure

    India is helping with funding for Nepal’s infrastructure development programme. In particular this funding will be used to help expand and improve Nepal’s highway network.     The Indian Government is providing assistance for road construction work in neighbouring Nepal. This assistance is for building the Kulekhani – Kathmandu road section, which will be widened and upgraded with an asphalt surface.
