It includes Topcon’s Sonic Tracker and slope sensor and is compatible with the Smoothtrac sonic averaging system.

“The operator can view elevation and slope values of the screed from a single box, a time-saving feature made possible by refining existing, time-tested machine control technologies from Topcon and combining them with the new GC-35 control box,” said construction product sales manager Jeroen Mennink.

The new GC-35 box is water and dustproof with an IP67 rating. Firmware updates are done via a USB connection. It is also backward-compatible to Topcon System 5 paving control systems.
