With its new cab and single-piece bonnet, the new JCB 417 HT compact wheeled loader certainly looks different to the JCB 416 that it replaces. But there's more to the new model than just aesthetics.     JCB Chief Executive Graeme Macdonald has officially opened the company’s newest facility in Staffordshire, which has created almost 100 new jobs in just six months.     JCB has received an order for 50 of its Hydradig 110W wheeled excavators from UK hire specialist H.E. Services (Plant Hire). The deal was secured at the recent bauma construction equipment trade fair in Munich, Germany, where the Hydradig was shown for the first time to thousands of international customers. H.E.   • JCB is investing in its UK manufacturing

    Equipment manufacturer JCB plans to invest €179.5 million (£150 million) in its manufacturing facilities in the UK. The investment will be targeted at its operations in Staffordshire and this will add some 2,500 to the firm’s payroll by 2018.
