5895 New Holland Construction (NHC) is unveiling three short radius excavator models, the E230C SR, E260C SR and E160C Blade Runner (BR), at bauma.

Featuring the company’s Tier 4 interim CEGR technology and unique iNDr system, these quiet short radius models are said to combine productivity with the ability to work in the tightest spaces, making them ideal for urban job sites and road construction work.

The models are also said to offer more fuel savings and productivity with the high-efficiency hydraulics, up to 8% higher swing torque and a new ECO working mode.

The new E230C SR and E260C SR run a 122kW engine, up 6.61kW from the B Series models they replace, while the E160C BR mounts a 72.81kW engine. All three models meet Tier 4 interim emissions standards with New Holland’s Cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (CEGR) technology and a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF).

NHC says the combination of highly advanced electronic technology and a sophisticated hydraulic system maximises the machines’ performance, adapting it to the task being performed. The upgraded Advanced Electronic Processor (AEP) offers a new ECO working mode to optimise fuel consumption while maintaining the best performance. The new multifunction monitor gives the operator details of hourly fuel consumption and promotes fuel savings by indicating when the machine is working most efficiently. The new E260C SR delivers impressive swing torque, 8% higher compared to its predecessor.
The ROPS and FOPS compliant EVO cab provides the operator with excellent all round visibility, enhanced by a full-size right window and standard rear-view camera.

The E160C BR is said to provide unequalled versatility by integrating excavator and dozer technologies into a single machine. In addition to powerful digging and fine grading capabilities, the new BR offers a standard six-way dozer blade and foldable, lockable blade wings that extend the clearing path beyond the width of the tracks.

The compact size of the E230C SR, the E260C SR and the E160C BR models is also said to make them easy to transport.
