A new €148 million port link is planned for Ancona in Italy.

A new link is planned for the Italian port of Ancona, with construction due to start in the third quarter of 2024. The Italian roads firm ANAS is spending €148 million on the construction of the road link, which includes a tunnel stretch. The new road section will improve transport between the port and the SS16 Adriatica highway, improving transport for heavy vehicles using the route.

Construction of the new port link is art of a wider programme of works being carried out by ANAS to its 1,500km network in the Marche Region on the Adriatic Coast that is costing more than €4 billion.
