Previously, he was chair of HNTB’s aviation practice, and officer-in-charge for several HNTB offices in New York and New Jersey. At the heart of Yarossi’s agenda as ARTBA chairman is to lead the transportation design and construction industry push on passage of a robust, multi-year federal highway and transit investment bill in 2012. The current law, known as SAFETEA-LU, expired in September 2009. Yarossi also said he would launch a long-term public education and industry image campaign that spotlights the industry’s innovative practices on transportation projects and the benefits to the taxpayers.
