Mozambique’s road network is to receive international funding for various projects. The 304km road connecting Cuamba and Lichinga in Niassa province will be improved under the plan.
Construction work on a new elevated highway route through Vietnamese conurbation Ho Chi Minh City is commencing. The project involves building a 30.4km stretch of highway, Elevated Road No5, through the busy metropolis and is expected to cost US$785.25 million. Financing has been secured for key road reconstruction projects in Cambodia. Work is being carried out on six road projects in the country that measure a total of 600km, as well as a bridge, with this all costing some US$490 million.
