Mozambique’s road network is to receive international funding for various projects. The 304km road connecting Cuamba and Lichinga in Niassa province will be improved under the plan.
A series of road and highway upgrades are being carried out in Algeria’s Ouargla Province. These will help boost safety and include new lighting and installing a 10km concrete median divider on the RN-3 route. A new 10km bypass is being built in the south-west of Ouargla city, which is due for completion at the end of October 2015. Financing worth US$238 million has been secured for planned road upgrades and improvements in Nicaragua. The funding comes in the shape of a loan from the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI). The upgrade works will be carried out to just over 194km of roads across the country.
