The Blue Line is designed to be simple and robust, with a competitive price. Montabert developed the range to meet the needs of customers who put price first. The range is seen as particularly useful for the rental market and for use in construction and demolition.

The two new models are at the smaller end of the range. The XL1000 weighs 900kg and is made for excavators between 11tonnes and 17tonnes. It provides energy per blow of 2,000J, a frequency of 900 blows per minute and takes a tool diameter of 107mm. It can be used with excavators providing a flow range of 70litres/minute to 120litres/minute and an operating pressure of 170bar.

The larger XL1300 weighs 1,250kg and is for excavators of 15tonnes to 22tonnes. Its energy per blow is 2,700J with a frequency of 750 blows/minute and its tool diameter is 124mm. The XL1300 can be used with excavators that provide a flow range of 90litres/minute to 140litres/minute and an operating pressure of 170bar.

  • Montabert revives popular 501 breaker name
    January 6, 2017
Montabert has updated its most well-known hydraulic breaker. When the French company started making hammers 40 years ago, its first breaker was called the BRH501. Now Montabert is launching a new series of breakers and the first model is called the 501 Next Generation. Weighing in at 730kg, the breaker has the same power as Montabert’s previous 1,000kg models. This increase in power to weight will allow demolition contractors to use the breaker on longer reach machines, or on smaller excavators if required.
