A new alliance has been formed to promote the benefits and implementation of technology for mobile plant in the construction and associated industries.

3045 CETA (Construction Equipment Technology Alliance) has been formed by 3047 Halomec, 1228 MOBA Mobile Automation, 3046 GKD Technik and 2430 OnGrade.

The group has launched with a new two-day event, CETA Demonstration Days, to be held at Uttoxeter Racecourse, County Staffordshire, England, from 15-16 June, 2011 (9am to 5pm).

GKD Technik designs and manufactures a range of safety and productivity systems for use in the construction equipment market; Halomec specialises in the supply and installation of after-market systems for construction equipment; MOBA Mobile Automation is the wholly-owned UK and Eire subsidiary of MOBA Mobile Automation, a global manufacturer of a wide range of systems including earthmoving and road construction machine control, and OnGrade specialises in supplying innovative safety and productivity solutions for a range of mobile plant.

The new event is aimed at filling some of the gap left following the demise of the SED (Site Equipment Demonstration) show, and the emphasis of the event will be on live demonstrations of the range of solutions and systems offered by member companies.

Alastair Brown, managing director of MOBA, said: “Visitors to CETA Demonstration Days will be able to experience a whole variety of working technologies as well as discuss their individual applications and requirements with CETA members.
