Mission Mitsubishi, a 3055 Mitsubishi dealer in San Antonio, has announced that Mitsubishi's i-MiEV Prototype will be taking on the historic Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, which will take place in Colorado on 8 July, 2012.

The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb it is an annual automotive/motorcycle hill climb to the highest summit of Pikes Peak, in Colorado, which stands at  12,900 feet (3,932 metres). This event dates all the way back to 1916 and has been taking place ever since.

The i-MiEV Prototype set to take on Pikes Peak will feature the same EV components that the current production i-MiEV uses. By participating in this race event, MMC says it will gain some critical data from its vehicle as they can test the durability of it in a tough, more strenuous environment.
