Work is now commencing on a new highway megaproject in China. The 204km highway will be built in China’s Hebei Province and will cost around US$4.09 billion to construct. The project forms part of a network of expressways in Chengzhang.
Major highway and bridge projects are commencing in China. Work is starting on a highway project at Baise city in Guangxi Province as well as on the Malantun section of the Xintai-Tai'erzhuang highway in Shandong Province. The Baise city project is being carried out by the CEEG Gezhouba Group and the deal is worth some US$3.94 billion. Four new highway links are being planned for China’s Heilongjiang Province. Building the four highways is expected to cost US$2.84 billion, with the work being carried out in 2018. In all the road network in Heilongjiang Province will benefit from work to 61 highway sections, totalling some 2,864km.
