Work is now commencing on a new highway megaproject in China. The 204km highway will be built in China’s Hebei Province and will cost around US$4.09 billion to construct. The project forms part of a network of expressways in Chengzhang.
The Chinese authorities have announced plans to construct the world’s longest undersea tunnel. Work is starting shortly on the highway, which will stretch 224km and is expected to cost US$4.3 billion to construct.
