Mecalac 10MCR launched at INTERMAT

Following the success of its 8MCR high-speed compact excavator, Mecalac has developed a larger, heavier model, called the 10MCR. Mecalac 10MCR combines excavator, loader, tool carrier and materials handler in one machine
Following the success of its 8MCR high-speed compact excavator, 2441 Mecalac Group has developed a larger, heavier model, called the 10MCR.

Like the smaller machine introduced in 2009, this new model combines the speed and manoeuvrability of a skid steer loader with the functionality of a midi excavator.

Weighing in at nine tones and using a 75kW turbocharged diesel engine, the new model retains Mecalac’s MCR concept and uses a triangular track frame profile, which affords fast travel speeds in both directions using a closed-circuit hydrostatic transmission called Senso-drive. This feature allows the machine to operate at speeds of up to 10km/hr in both directions.

In the cab, Mecalac has equipped the 10MCR with a mode switch that enables easy change over from skid-steer loader controls to that of tracked excavator format.

As a result, the firm claims it is a combination of four machines - excavator, loader, tool carrier and materials handler, all in one package.
