McCloskey continues to grow

Screening and crushing machine manufacturer McCloskey increased its workforce by 30% and added some 12,600m2 of covered workspace in 2012. At the Peterborough facility in Canada, the company has added almost 4,000m2 of warehousing and another 7,250m2 to extend the production line.

Screening and crushing machine manufacturer 4982 McCloskey International increased its workforce by 30% and added some 12,600m2 of covered workspace in 2012.

At the Peterborough facility in Canada, the company has added almost 4,000m2 of warehousing and another 7,250m2 to extend the production line.

The plant in Tyrone, Ireland, has gained another 836m2 building along with an additional 650m2 assembly building in Coalisland for assembly of C38 144 and 154 crushers.

  • Mecalac MCR6 fast track excavator joins growing line-up

    French excavator and loader manufacturer Mecalac will launch its MCR6 compact excavator at Bauma. The machine, seen in prototype form at last year’s Intermat show, has a travel speed of up to 10km/h and can be used as both a skid steer loader and an excavator. Built at a new site in Turkey, the MCR6 weighs in at 6 tonnes and is powered by a 55kW (75hp) engine. In excavator mode the machine has a maximum tearout force of 2,400daN and a breakout force of 3,900daN.
