MCA-P invited Samar road project company bids

In the Philippines, companies have been called by the Millennium Challenge Account-Philippines (MCA-P) to bid for a segment of the Samar road project. The MCA-P will be holding a pre-bid conference for potential bidders on 9 January, 2013 and sealed bids are to be submitted by 28 February, 2013. The Samar road project is aimed at upgrading the Wright-Taft-Borongan-Guiuan Road stretching 222km from Western to Eastern Samar.

In the Philippines, companies have been called by the Millennium Challenge Account-Philippines (MCA-P) to bid for a segment of the Samar road project.

The MCA-P will be holding a pre-bid conference for potential bidders on 9 January, 2013 and sealed bids are to be submitted by 28 February, 2013. The Samar road project is aimed at upgrading the Wright-Taft-Borongan-Guiuan Road stretching 222km from Western to Eastern Samar.

    Strong interest is being seen for the project to build Uganda’s new Kampala-Jinja Expressway. So far eight bids have been submitted for the project, which is expected to cost around US$985 million to build. The tender for the project should be awarded in December 2019. So far the bidders include the Austrian contractor Strabag, the Chinese contractor China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) and the Indian contractor Shapoorji Pallonji Group. The bids are being managed by the Uganda National Roads Au
